Phoenix is half fairy, half human. Born to a human mother, she was raised in Los Angeles and taught to hide her magical fairy powers — powers like being able to communicate with animals, transmogrification, balloon tinkering, and even flight (so long as she remembered to bring enough pixie dust). 

As a shapeshifter, she can present in multiple forms: a witch, a pirate, even a mermaid. Her father was a water fairy after all, specifically half merman (of the marlin variety), and it’s on her adventures out at sea that she can fully connect to her magical roots.  Her marlin fairy father gave her the nickname Molly to let her know she’s his "star of the sea."  (So you may even meet Phoenix as Pirate Molly!)

Phoenix is thrilled when she gets to actually demonstrate her magic to humans!  Especially on special occasions, she can show off her animal communication and actually share that power with everyone present!  She can make whatever your heart desires out of a balloon.  And she can conjure an adventure in search of any kind of treasure.

Whether she’s making something disappear or reappear, she brings connection, warmth, and laughter wherever she goes — be it the circus, the old west, the 20s, even directly into telling fortunes. 

The truth (and Phoenix will tell you this herself) is there’s magic in every single seemingly ordinary moment. As a half-human, she has seen firsthand how humans can look directly at magic and still find ways to explain it away. Luckily, she has grown up with all types of believers and can keep her magic covert and under the radar when necessary — unless there’s dancing. She has never once been able to hide her magic once the music starts.
