Lifeguard Jobs (Existing Certification Required)
We are currently looking for amazing part-time on-call certified lifeguards to add to our call list in Southern California.
Lifeguards are assigned to parties based on their location and skills as need client need arises.
Sometimes lifeguards work alone but most of the time they pair with our mermaids, helping the mermaid to/from the pool and then performing standard protocol scan & risk management duties as a lifeguard.
LIFEGUARD JOB REQUIREMENTS
Have Current Red Cross Lifeguard, First Aid, and CPR certifications.
We do not accept Ellis or theme park certifications as they are not valid outside of their issuing theme park.
Please indicate if you also have current Lifeguard Instructor, Water Safety Instructor, SCUBA Rescue (or above), or Freediver certifications
Have experience working for a summer camp, school, fitness center, beach, lakefront, or municipal pool as a lifeguard.
Have experience leading children's water and swimming activities for ages 3-10
Have a clear criminal background
Have three excellent water or work related references
Possess your own functional, reliable, car.
Have consistent weekend availability - primarily Saturday and Sundays from 11AM-8PM
Be readily accessible via email and phone
Be 18 or older and authorized to work in the USA
Be able to lift and carry 40 pounds
Live in one of our service regions (Orange County, Los Angeles, Ventura County)
Have your own hip pack, red swimsuit, whistle, CPR mask, and rescue tube.
