When the Labyrinth Masquerade Ball (previously "Labyrinth of Jareth" or "LOJ") in Los Angeles, California asked for something "different than mermaids" for its 2014 season we cast our net across Southern California to find a truly unique aquatic performer. We'll admit, we were a little shocked and somewhat afraid when this reed-dwelling swamp monster slithered in!
After being assured that humans weren't (always) her food of choice we cautiously proceeded with our audition interview and were quickly charmed by her random collection of clicks, growls, hisses, and purrs that she eloquently uses to express herself.
At Labyrinth we found ourselves laughing at her larger-than-life antics while interacting with guests and were awed by her ability to quickly transition between performing scary poses with adults and working quietly with timid children.
While Swampy is not a mermaid she believes that she has something equally special to bring to the Los Angeles, California event circuit and hopes to follow in the slippery fin prints of her Hollywood movie monster idols, The Creature from the Black Lagoon and Jaws, in haunted houses, circus side shows, and Halloween pool party entertainment.
Please note that we recommend requesting Swampy at least one month in advance as this monstrously good model requires the onsite assistance of her specialty makeup artists to look her best.
Extra charges apply for a makeup team on this character. For non-film or large events we recommend also considering our Mermaid Zombies.
