If you are expecting kids ages 5+ or are setting up a multiple "station" format party, school, church, vineyard, country club, or synagogue event, or other big party where a large group of guests can pick and choose from activity options then this complete archery range rental with staff member is a great choice for you.

This archery booth-style set up is run more like a carnival game at a county fair or community festival and features colorful rubber blunted arrows with real bows.

We are based in Southern California. Our Ventura County - based archery staff sets up our traveling archery rental range and then stays on site for the duration of your birthday party or event and works with your guests in a "walk up" manner. Each guest has the ability to work with the staff member to learn the basics of archery with our archery rental equipment before allowing the next guest to try the sport.

This is our most popular party package with adults and is an extremely good choice for parties that have a mix of children and adults attending or have young children with short attention spans.

PLEASE NOTE - Archery is NOT allowed in public parks or on beaches unless it is expressly approved in writing by their officials before booking. It is for private property, hotels, trade show halls, country clubs, homes, and similar locations only.

• The backstop curtain is suitable for zero wind conditions only and may not be set up in windy conditions.

Safety Information

If you are concerned about safety then this is the section for you. We take safety seriously and have run archery parties for over 9 years across California, coaching over 10,000 students, with ZERO injuries or property / damage claims. Every element of this party package has been custom designed with safety in mind to make it the most portable, safest, archery experience in the USA.

1. The bows we bring are light poundage, around 12-14 pounds. The arrows we use are intentionally heavy and have very big oversize feathers which create substantial drag. Most kids can only shoot them a max of 20 ft... it's a basic physics equation... low poundage bow + heavy arrow = very short flight.

2. While the bows are only around 12-14 pounds, the ballistic grade safety curtain we bring is rated for up to 36 pound bows... about 3x more than what we actually use at parties. The arrows hit it and fall down gently in front of it. The curtain is the US Schools Standard for National Archery School Programs and is used widely around the country on a daily basis for teaching kids archery.

3. The footprint needed for archery is 20'x30' minimum. The closer we have people shoot towards the target the easier it is. We set up the area for archery away from paths, pets, windows, people, etc.

4. We use a low target as it makes people think "aim low" which keeps everything tidy and contained.

5. If any guest starts being a safety concern we warn them and, if needed, take their materials away and "bench" them until they demonstrate self control.

6. We can supply boundary chains, if requested, to help keep your guests away from the direct line of the shooting area.

CUSTOM GRAPHICS

If you will be purchasing or requesting custom graphics from us, then these are the specifications required for your graphics file:

• If we are working with the placement of the logo / design then a high resolution Photoshop / SVG format image file is ideal.

• If your team will be making a target based on your own internal brand standards for us to only run the print / prep on then the following files work for our printer: .pg, .ps, .gif, .jpeg, .jpe, .dib, .jp2, .jff, .tiff, .tif, .bmp, png with a max file size of 150MB.

  • The inner ring (shoot through / cut out) on the target is: 12.75" in diameter

  • The outer ring on the target is: 31.25" in diameter

Recommended Ages

• This archery party is designed for ages 5+.

• We can accommodate younger children ONLY under direct parental help and supervision, such as when a father helps a daughter to pull back a bow. If you are expecting many guests under 5 please let us know to pack some extra small gear for them.

Space Requirements

• This party option requires a 20'x30' or larger flat area facing away from any buildings, cars, animals, or other activities for blunted arrows, more space and boundary warning signs / barriers, may be required for pointed arrows. More space is even better!

• We need a 4' cleared path free of stairs close in proximity to street / parking access to be able to "load in" to an event.

• This offering is indoor/outdoor compatible; indoor locations require the use of our white ballistic backstop netting as the only color option. Suitable for banquet halls or gyms.

• Why is there only one target?

  • Even in the top national competitions archers share targets. After coaching over 10,000 new archers we've found that sharing the target makes this range portable, compact, and easy for the instructors to supervise for safety. Don't worry though - with this rotation waiting time is kept down to a minimum and everyone has plenty of time to shoot.

• I'm an adult. Why is the target short?

  • For safety. Arrows launch on an upward incline at short distances and beginning archers of all ages tend to aim higher than they need to which frequently results in "high" shots. As a result we follow the NASP (National After School Archery Program) standards in believing that targets closer to the ground help beginners to keep their shots where they expect to hit and in a contained area.

• Do you provide prizes?

  • We do not provide prizes in a standard package but if you would like to provide your own prizes for people who do a good shot we are happy to pass them out for you.

• What happens if it rains?

  • If you are concerned about rain we recommend buying our Event Protection Plan at the time of booking which enables you to reschedule.

  • This event CAN be moved indoors - it uses equipment commonly seen in snow-area schools for indoor curriculum.

• How long does it take you to set up?

  • Our crew needs 45 minutes to set up the archery range rental and 15-25 minutes to tear it down. Add ons, like flowers or decorations, require extra time.

• Can you arrive early in the day before the event?

  • Yes, based on availability. If you wish for our team to set up on site before your party time (e.g. setting up at 9AM for a 1PM shooting start time) we can be there early, set up, and waiting until the actual start time at an additional fee.

• The venue is asking for an insurance certificate; is that possible?

  • Insurance certificates with additionally insured wording are available if required, please allow 3 weeks to process.

• What does the staff wear?

  • Our staff arrives in cheerful company logo T-shirts unless otherwise requested during contract signing.
